Lush Korea has a wonderful reward system for its' loyal customers: 덕찌s! If you can't read Korean, that word can be transliterated as Deokjji. If we translate it into English we get something like "Nerdy Things". These unique Korean pins are so interesting and special that it only seemed like a good idea to showcase our collection for the readers.
Our reviews of the Lush Korea Collectible pins will start out with the coolest: the ingredient pins! Today we will show off three of these ingredient pins, they are all unique ingredients that can both affect your senses and your skin!
Our first pin is the benzoin pin it is an ingredient that is undoubtedly one of Lord Fizzes favorite ingredients. If you haven't smelt it on its own, its vanilla and sour fruit smell is one that is really special and unique. Lush does use this in several of their products but it is not one of their most common ingredients.
Lush uses benzoin harvested a tree resin collected in Laos from towering evergreen trees. It is used locally in Laotian medicines but has also become popular around the world as an anti-inflammatory and fragrance in many cosmetic ingredients.
Next is our honey pin that is very special indeed! Lush is a world leader the purchase of fair-trade honey and they are very conscious of the help that bees need if they are going to survive. In their products, Honey is used as an antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial and antioxidant, not to mention as a fragrance in many of Lush's most beloved products.
Lush uses no less than 6 different types of Honey, all with their own unique scents and colors. Greece and Zambia contribute a large portion of Lush's honey reserves and the fair-trade and ethical buying practices that Lush uses help to ensure that all of those Apiarists (that's a fancy word for beekeepers) can have a happy life as well as the Bees!
Last on our list is the mint pin. Mint is a fantastic plant that is grown around the world and that lush uses in a lot of their products. It can range from the strong spearmint to the sweet peppermint. If used correctly, it can add a sweetness and body to fruity or creamy smells or it can be the top note of a fragrance that will dominate most other smells in the product.
Lush uses mint grown locally in England while it is in season and buys from Israel during the winter while the local mint crops are off for the holiday. Mint is a remarkably soothing plant that has strong medicinal properties if consumed and can also be relaxing as an element of aromatherapy.
