Lush Korea has a wonderful reward system for its' loyal customers: 덕찌s! If you can't read Korean, that word can be transliterated as Deokjji. If we translate it into English we get something like "Nerdy Things". These unique Korean pins are so interesting and special that it only seemed like a good idea to showcase our collection for the readers.
Our reviews of the Lush Korea Collectible pins will start out with the coolest: the ingredient pins! Today we will show off three of these ingredient pins that all have wonderful smells and almost magically exciting uses, they are the flower ingredient pins!
First, let's talk about the Lavender pin. Lush uses Lavender in a lot of their products and for good reason! Pure lavender can be used to soothe irritated skin and is very effective as a soothing element in aromatherapy practices.
Lush does not list where their lavender comes from on their website, which is a little unusual. A video posted to youtube in 2008 by Lush shows that they get their lavender from the traditional lavender farms in Provence, France.
The Rose pin is the next on our list. Rose is an ingredient that is well loved in cultures around the world and Lush puts it to good use in several of their products. Most notably, the Rose Jam family. The uses of rose oil are very similar to that of lavender, as it is used for its calming and soothing properties on your skin. Not to mention its wonderful smell! Some consider rose oil and aphrodisiac as well. Grrrrrowl.
Lush collects their rose oil from a variety of rose known as the Damascus Rose. Thus, the placement of Turkey's symbol on the pin above. Supposedly, they collect their rose oil from a man named Hasan in Senir, Turkey and contribute €50 from the cost of each kilogram of rose oil to community improvement in the area of that farm.
Last on our list of pins today is the Neroli pin! Neroli is an ingredient that is used very frequently by Lush as well. It is one of the only essential oils that has been scientifically proven to increase serotonin flow in the brain and as a result, increase happiness! In fact, if you look closely, you can see the word happy in the girl's mouth!
Lush uses Neroli oil from a family farm in Tunisia, which is considered the best location for Neroli in the world. Interestingly enough, Neroli oil is made from the same plant as Orange Flower oil and the only thing separating them is the process but which they are made. Neroli oil is made by steam distillation and Orange Flower oil is made my alcohol extraction! The more you know!
