Ectoplasm Shower Scream

When October get's close Lush releases their Halloween range. Despite attempts to make this range spooky, it usually ends up being a very cute range with lots of  cute little monsters and only slightly spooky critters.  Except for Father's Day, the Halloween range is usually the smallest.  This is mainly because the Christmas range is so big and so close to October. This year Halloween has a lot of returning products and only a few new ones.

Ectoplasm Shower Scream is one of the totally new products that was invented for the 2018 Halloween range. In case you don't know, the scream in the name is done for obvious reasons... when you see a ghost and all their gooey ectoplasm, the natural reaction is to scream! So far, in the community of Lush, this product has been very popular. It also has a quite quirky and enjoyable scent, appearance and even the hilarious (to the less mature of us) phrase written under the label: "Mary Loves Dick."  For the collectors as well as the casual users of Lush, this is a product to hang on to. Though, please remember after the end of Halloween this product will not be gone, so get it before it fades away.

Once Ecotplasm is sitting on the shelf, this is a shower that stands out against almost all of the others around it!  The color looks fantastic, as mentioned before, and is a unique fluorescent yellow that looks like it could come straight out of a highlighter, or a troll's nose.

The smell of Ectoplasm is based on the smell of the Ectoplasm jelly bomb but we can only say 'based on' because it by no means has the same smell as the jelly bomb.  It has a very strong citrus smell composed of grapefruit tangerine and litsea cubea oils.  The jelly bomb is sweeter and more mild than the shower scream while Ectoplasm is more sour and citrus, it smells almost a little bit too strong when you smell it in the bottle. The smell reminds us both a fake orange drink like a pack of orange Kool-Aid.

This is a very thick shower cream, like Lord of Misrule or Oaty Creamy Dreamy.  When you squeeze it, it will come out it in a solid extruded log.  Of course, it is easy enough to spread and use on your body and it is heavily pigmented. It is not pigmented so much to cause any skin tinting but enough to really give you a yellow floor as you shower.  The smell will also loose come of its citrus tang in the shower and transform to a slightly sweet tangerine juice smell. Even though this product has almond oil in it for skin conditioning, after a good washing you will still have to use a nice body lotion to make sure you are nice and hydrated.

This is also another one of the Lush shower gels that has a problem with emulsification. You can see some visible sections of oil that has sunk to the bottom of the bottle.  This is not a huge problem, as a good shake can mix it sufficiently together but this is a very thick shower gel, as we mentioned, and mixing it could be a little difficult.

This is a really beautiful product but the citrus smell is a little bit too strong in the bottle and could make one feel kind of nauseous and overwhelmed. Having said that, this is a product that Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz do wholly suggest to any of our readers.
