For their 2018 Valentine's Day range Lush has come out with some exciting new products and some exciting new smells to go with them. Sometimes, the new products are very generic and have a smell that is so simple that it is unappealing. Sometimes, the new products have an exotic and new smell that may take some time to love and may eventually be a 50/50, hate or love, with many Lushies. The Love Boat bath bomb, on the other hand, is a new smell that must be impossible for anyone to not love.
This bath bomb smells, well let's say it simply: Amazing. The ingredients list didn't look amazing but once you smell anyone will understand. The ingredients are a simple handful of Sicilian lemon oil, sweet orange oil, and rose oil. Then, all the way at the bottom of the list, there is a "perfume" ingredient which must be in very small quantities and not affect the smell too greatly. Despite this simple array of seemingly innocuous essential oils, this bath bomb is a stunner in the smell department.

Love Boat bath bomb |
It comes out smelling like pink lemonade powder and that is only meant in a good way. In the best of ways. Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz want a hundred of these. Once put into the water, the smell does drift away from that original sweetness, though and settles into a citrusy candy smell but...at the back of that smell, just faintly, the pink lemonade is still there.

Love Boat bath bomb |
Not only does it smell good but Love Boat is such a cute bath bomb too. It has a small space in the back for passengers and a heart on the front. There is also a colorful blend of three colors in its seaworthy hull. Pink for the bow, blue for the stern and yellow for the underside. The yellow is even adorned with some lovely pink hearts to float in the water after it dissolves. The colors are all light and pastel-perfect. They will play on the surface of your water in swirls and whirls all mixing into a faint purple bath water. The addition of mica adds a small amount of glitter to the water that will make for the most perfect glimmering bath when it is all dissolved and gone.

Love Boat Bath Bomb, Underside. |
Luckily, it won't be gone too fast. This bath bomb does seem to stay around for awhile after you put it in. It is definitely not a fast fizzer. Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz with playing with the yellow hull for at least 3 or 4 minutes after they put it into their water. Provided you do not get a sinker you can expect this bath bomb to do its job and do it well, leaving you with a beautiful display of bath art. The price was not too bad either as the ingredients were not too exotic or expensive themselves.
This is a bath bomb that comes with the full recommendation of Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz and hopefully Lush will bring this one back for several years to come.
