Heart of Enlightened Expectation

Every now and then, a product comes along that smells very different from the other products that Lush sells.  This product is one of those special treats that the scent connoisseurs of Lush can really enjoy, plus this orange frosted bubble bar melt is simply beautiful!  The name of this bubble bar melt is a lot to swallow though.  Everyone, say hello to the Heart of Enlightened Expectation Bubble Bar Melt. The name describes what might be the ideal lover: the person with mature and realistic expectations of their partners, this bubble bar melt certainly expanded our expectations of what bubble bars we love.

Let's talk about its lovely smell first.  It is almost the same as the old Lush boutique favorite Two Hearts Beating as One but honestly, this specific reincarnation of the smell is sweeter and less floral than the shower gel recently released from the Lush Kitchen and the bath oil that was released in last years valentine's day range.  The smell is a heady mix of jasmine and ylang-ylang that is balanced with zesty bergamot and calming geranium.  When you smell the bubble bar melt in your hand, the jasmine and ylang-ylang are at the forefront and they are both sweetened by the bergamot oil.  When you use Heart of Enlightened Expectation in the bathtub though, the freshness of the bergamot sadly seems to dissolve and leave only a floral bouquet in your waiting bath.

This is really a beautiful bubble bar melt too.  From the 2018 Valentine's day range, this seems to be the most visually captivating member. It has a red-orange color and is on the thicker side of the spectrum.  On top of the bubble bar melt, there is a smear of cocoa butter that makes this beauty look like a frosted cookie.  Then, to top it all off there is a sprinkling of a red-gold glitter that brings the color of the bubble bar melt back around.

As far as a bubble bar melt goes, this is just a bubbleroon without the top layer.  The smear of cocoa butter on top is the same as what you might find in the middle of any bubbleroon.  Having said that, this bubble bar melt is wonderfully moisturizing!  After taking a bath with this product, you may still be in need of a lotion to replenish your skin's moisture but you will still find yourself noticeably smoother from all of the dreamy cocoa butter on top.

It is a little bit pricey and that is a deterrent towards buying a lot of these chunky little bubble hearts. Still, their smell is so special and their color so vibrant, it is hard to ignore them!
