Lush offers a wide variety of products to use in our daily washing and self-care routines and a body-scrub is one that is both useful and enjoyable to use. Using
ingredients like salt, sugar, coconut shell pieces or coarsely ground rice, a body scrub allows us to buff off our dead skin and tone the layer of young, supple skin underneath. A full and productive shower routine for Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz includes a scrub at least two or times a week, though excessive scrubbing can be a danger to our skin's health, scrubbing as directed can lead to healthy and brighter skin.

Around October 2018, Lush released two new fantastic scrubs to go along with their already popular, classic body scrubs: The Rough With The Smooth and Rub Rub Rub. One of these new Body-Scrubs is an Epsom and sea salt-based scrub named Magic Crystals. Any other Lush product could have this name and it would just end up being semantics; however, this product does have some amazingly stimulating and magical properties.
This magical scrub is a delightful magenta purple and just looking at it in your shower is an exciting experience. So much can be said about the effectiveness of a specific color in relaxing, stimulating or in some way affecting our senses. In this case, the purple hue does lend to an exciting experience. Magic Crystals is a wonderfully fine scrub that almost feels like lotion until you apply pressure and the grains of sea and Epsom salts reveal themselves against your skin.
The scent of this product is clearly pronounced and not at all subtle. That scent is mint and to be particular, it is spearmint. The sweetness of the mint is only slightly confronted with the herbal notes of both rosemary and sage infusions added to this product. Honestly, it is hard to smell anything but mint when using this product. Magic Crystals does include both peppermint and spearmint, though the spearmint does take the olfactory forefront and dominate its sweeter cousin. This is in opposition to Christingle and Intergalactic that are both peppermint dominant scents. If you are not a fan of spearmint, this product will not be one for you.

It is hard to go wrong in the department of scrub effectiveness when sea salt and Epsom salts are your ingredients. However, aside from buffing off the dead skin Magic Crystal does have some additional benefits to the showering masses. The rosemary and sage infusions in this product provide a fantastic boon of anti-microbial and cleansing qualities. Making this scrub great for control of body acne and ingrown hairs.
As was mentioned earlier, this product does have some magical qualities. After washing off your purple freshly-scrubbed skin you will notice a chill across your body. Like the foreboding sign of a paranormal presence, Magic Crystals' use of mint oils and menthol crystals will impart you with cooling tingles ( not to mention clean smooth skin).
When summertime comes around this product is a must-have for cooling off from those oppressively hot days. After all, no one likes sweating after you've just taken a shower. Plus, the reaming sweet spearmint smell will relax you as you dry off your magically smoothed skin.
