Twilight Bath Bomb

If you have enjoyed Lush for any period of time, it would be very unlikely that you have not encountered the Twilight scent.  One of Lush's champion scents, the Twilight scent has been made into almost every form imaginable for the ravenous fans of this smell.  In some incarnations, the media and community of Lush have portrayed this smell as being one that is useful for insomnia and for stress relief.  The Twilight bath bomb is the first way that this smell was introduced to the world of Lush fans.  All the way back into 2013, this bath bomb made its first appearance.  After its wildly popular debut, the scent was transformed into a shower gel, FUN product, and even another bath bomb.  As was mentioned before, it is very hard to enjoy Lush and have never come across this smell. It has been around for a long time.

Being composed of some fantastic ingredients, the scent of Twilight bath bomb can be attributed to lavender, benzoin resinoid, tonka absolute and a splash of ylang-ylang.  Benzoin resinoid is a fantastic smell, that really defines the most significant quality of this fragrance.  It is not an essential oil but as the name suggests, a resin.  It smells like a rich vanilla.  It has an almost buttery quality to it.  When you combine this with the sweet comforting cotton candy smell of tonka absolute you start to really establish the smell of twilight.  You only have to add the floral notes of lavender and ylang-ylang to bring this scent to the creamy floral masterwork that is Twilight.  Lavender has a very strong herbal scent that is totally cut off in twilight while its floral notes persist.  The entire mix is sweet, dreamy and almost edible.

Imagine sometime in your childhood, someone in your family has found a clever recipe for cookies that uses lavender extract.  After browning the butter, creaming it with sugar and adding the flour and vanilla to the batter, the chef adds just a few drops of lavender oil to the mix.  As the cookies baked their sweet and comforting lavender smell would fill your house and the warmth of the hot oven would wrap you up.  Staying awake or at least having any stress after being enveloped in this scent would be impossible! This delectable bakery scent is what Lush has captured in the Twilight bath bomb.

The Twilight bath bomb is a light pink bath bomb with some cute star and moon decorations on the outside.  On the inside, there is a pale blue core that is mixed with silver luster.  This bath bomb has the potential to create fantastic bath art.  The contrast of the pink shell and its pale blue glitter-loaded core creates a great colorful swirl in your bath water.  After they foam resides and is mixed into the water, there will be a soft iridescent purple water left behind.

For some reason, the formula of this bath bomb is slightly unstable.  It was not even shipped to Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz's home in South Korea until the beginning of 2018, for this reason. Of the several Twilight bath bombs that have been used by Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz, none of them have been 'duds' that sink and didn't float on the water.  However, the shell has cracked and separated into two pieces, several times, before the bath bomb could be used.

Despite the apparent fault in the formula of this bath bomb, Twilight is a long loved and thoroughly enjoyed product in the Bubble and Fizz household.  There are so many formats of this beautiful bath bomb's scent and each of them is the same calming sweet smell.  As a couple that has experienced many of Lush's products, the Twilight bath bomb is one that Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz have a repeatedly recommended to many of their friends and new Lush users.
