Since their founding, Lush soaps have been one of the cornerstones of the Lush product lines. For some people, a bar of soap can be a very important part of their daily hygiene routine and for others, it can just be what they use to wash their hands. Lush soaps offer what everyone might and have the additional qualities of being magnificently fragranced and providing more moisture than your average bars of soaps (at least, the Lush soaps made after the most recent reformulation.)

One Slice of Tunnel Of Love Soap |
2018 has been a great year for soaps too, we have seen fantastic soaps come from campaign events and seasonal ranges and Tunnel of Love is a soap that rests firmly in the fantastic category. This soap is scented with rose water, sweet wild orange and lime oils and olibanum resinoid. Sharing its scent profile with the Christmas product, Never Mind the Ballistics bath bomb. However, the rose water in Tunnel of Love seems to allow the lime oil to stand with even more contrast and creates a strong 'fruit punch' smell. Both sweet and fruity, this smell of this soap is well loved by Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz and has even created some Lush converts among their close friends.
Tunnel of Love soap is a bight pink soap cast into a large heart shape with a pattern of bricks, arrow-pierced hearts and the words "Tunnel of Love" on the outside. There are also some white spots on the top of the soap which just seems to be decorations to the exterior but once the soap is cut, those white spots turn out to be the tops of a white heart that just peek through the top of the soap.

The soap has a lovely soft spring when squeezed between the index finger and the thumb. This is due to the new soap base that lush uses which creates a lovely moisturizing quality at the expense of shower-life. This also a palm-oil free soap which is no longer a special thing among Lush soaps but it is a fantastic quality that separates Lush soaps from most other soaps on the market.
The white heart in the middle of the soap is made with glycerin, talc and corn starch, making it almost identical to that of the popular Lush FUN. So, in fact, this is a bar of soap and a piece of FUN! (Good luck getting out the white heart in one piece though.)
When you use this soap, the smell seems to magnify in the water and come out as more sweeter and candy-like. Using this on your body, it is very soft and not abrasive at all. In a loofa or other washing medium, you will get a nice thick foam. Sadly, it is not as moisturizing as some of the other new Lush soaps and Tunnel Of Love will stand you up and leave your skin tight and dry. However, the smell does last for a long time on your body, leaving you in a sweet dreamy cloud throughout the day (albeit in need of lotion.)
For some reason, this soap caused Lady Bubble to have an allergic reaction on her arm. So, it is suggested that you try just washing your hands with it first and see how you fair. That aside, this soap does have a fantastic smell and such a cute design. Even though, all Lush soaps are a little bit more expensive than the normal soaps their quality and their artistry makes the price a pill that is easier to swallow.
