Like we have mentioned before, and now in the throes of spring, this should no longer be a surprise to anyone using Lush in 2018, we are in the year of the naked shower gel. We have gotten our third naked shower cream now, for the spring (Easter) range, and it is one of bright and blossoming potential! Lush Fans have never seen a shower gel exactly like this.

Here Comes The Sun and Brightside |
Since the Spring Range of 2013, Lush has been making a delightful tangerine and orange oil bubble bar known as Brightside. This has obviously been a popular product to have stayed in the range for so long and luckily Here Comes The Sun Naked Shower Cream has the same smell. The smell of this shower cream is a sweet orange and tangerine smell with the slightest herbal smell, while in its dry form.
The main scent ingredients of Here Comes The Sun are mandarin oil, tangerine oil, bergamot oil and fresh orange juice. These ingredients make a fresh, sunny and so sweetly orangery smell. There is also the herbal-woody smell, that is unique to the shower cream and presents only slightly. Maybe the smell comes from a large amount of St. Johns Wort that is in the product and the small amount of Agaricus Bisporus mushroom in this product. I don't dislike this second smell at all. As a first smell when whiffing this product, it reminds me a little of the Antiope Shower Cream from Mother's Day. When you use it in the shower, the herb smell is gone immediately and only the nice fruity orange smell is there.

Here Comes The Sun After One Use. |
Sadly, Lush is not winning any awards for the appearance of this product. It is something we have mentioned before and we will continue to say it. The bottle shape is hardly appealing. Plus, the option of shapes that Naked Shower Gels could be molded into offers the greatest potential for increased customer appeal but Lush don't seem to be ready to stray from bottle shape, just yet. Also, the color of this product is not bad but still not amazing.
The Naked Shower Gel formula is essentially the same that you would find in a bottle of Lush shower gel with no water and a thickening agent. It may look like a soap, but the ingredients are very different and unsaponified (soap hardened.) This shower cream seems to stand up much less than the other shower creams that we have used this year do. It melts pretty quickly and a lot of it ends up down the drain.
This is also a very pigmented shower cream, just like Antiope was. You will see a lot of orange, all over your body, all over the floor and even an orange foam. Speaking of foam, this is a product that does not produce a lot of it. While washing, it sadly takes a lot of rubbing and product in a loofah to get a satisfying cover for your skin. You may not need a lot of foam though, as this product has two ingredients that serve well to cleanse and soothe skin. Both the St. John's Wort and the Agaricus Bisporus are hard working in this product and are great for clearing up any breakouts you may have on your skin.
The smell of this product and its skin clarifying properties are its best quality. It is not amazing looking or amazing in the moisture department but you may quickly see the sun shining on your newly renewed skin after a couple days of tangerine filled showers. Plus, it's cheap!
