One of the scent families that Lush has captured a faithful audience with, the Rose Jam smell is hard to not love. Both fruity and floral, this fragrance is a staple of Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz's Lush collection in a veritable menagerie of perfumed forms. One of those forms is a soft pink sphere that comes around during valentine's day. That is of course, the reason we are all here: Rose Bombshell! Having been made for the past three years, this bath bomb is one that should be familiar to any Lush Fan, even the newest of us.

Let's talk about this bath bomb's smell, let's do it right now, as soon as possible because it is great. If you don't know what this product smells like it has the same smell as Rose Jam. The smell of Rose Bombshell is composed of rose oil, lemon oil and geranium oil. It has an almost classic floral, powdered rose scent (with the geranium oil being mostly responsible) and the bitterness of the lemon oil adds enough of a fresh smell to lift it out of your grandmother's makeup cabinet and add a more modern appeal.
Many Lush fans count this scent as one of their favorites and it is one that both Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz both enjoy. It is not unheard of to find someone who does not like this bath-bomb's smell, though. Thankfully, if you like this, the smell will not change very much once you get it into the water. It seems to persist for quite some time and linger on your skin quite a bit after your bath.
This bath bomb works very well to produce a great pink bath and well... only a pink bath. It is made of a pale pink material with a hollow core. The exterior has a very nicely detailed design of rose blossoms and leaves. The core has a stash of colored, red sea salt and a handful of dried yellow rose petals. In previous years, the rose petals have been red, white and yellow but in 2018 Lush had to find a new supplier of the petals and yellow was the best for them to use.
Sadly, the colors of this bathbomb are not very contrasting and the hollow core does remove a lot of fizz time. So, this bath bomb will not surprise you with any very exciting bath art and it will dissolve very quickly in the water.
In 2018, Lush has also released a large size of this bath bomb, they call it "Giant Rose Bombshell." It has exactly the same color and scent as the smaller bath bomb but it is much larger, more than triple the size, coming in at 600g of rosy goodness. It is actually quite expensive and unless you are in a large bath, it might be too much for a single person bath.
Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz can confidently say that they are happy this bath bomb came back for another year. It is a good addition to the floral family and a great representation of the Rose Jam scent family. Lord Fizz can not count this as one of his favorite bath-bombs, or even smells but Lady Bubble, on the other hand, loves the scent of this product.
