Madame President

Mother's Day 2018 was a holiday that has really brought a lot of exciting scents to the bath tub for all of us.  From the range of woody and spicy to the sweet and fruity, there is at least one product to satisfy everyone's tastes.  Madame President is a bathbomb that has both a new and exciting smell and a beautiful design.  It is one that Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz are so glad to welcome into the Lush collection.

Let's start off with the smell of this heavenly sphere.  It is made from a mixture of both petitgrain oil and grapefruit oil which makes it a very fresh and uplifting smell.  Petitgrain oil is made from the leaves and branches of the bitter orange tree, topping of the list of essential this one tree makes to three (Neroli, Sweet Orange and Petitgrain Oil.)  There is a third ingredient in the scent profile that could be insignificant but near the end of the ingredients list we can see "perfume" listed which must be there for a reason!   Regardless of that last ingredient, the smell of this bath bomb is a woody citrus composition that captures both the zing of grapefruit oil and the woody 'foliage' smell of the petitgrain oil.  It is a woderful new smell and one that is hard to dislike, both complex and uplifting, this smell can be enjoyed by even the most extreme "Citrus" or "Woody" smell fans.

In the water, the smell of this bath bomb drifts away from its dry scent and settles more on the refreshing citrus smell of grapefruit oil. As nice and original as the smell of this bathbomb is out of the water, once you use it, sadly,  it seems to become more and more normal citrus.


Madame President that surely must have been designed to satisfy those who want a show in their bath.  It has 4 separate colors on the exterior! The bomb is divided by a hemisphere of blue and one of red.  There are also 3 white stars on the blue half and 1 large gold star on the opposite red side. The stars on this bath bomb seem to be made of cornstarch and glycerin which also contributes a softness to the bathers skin and lasting white and yellow streamers on the surface of the water.



Depending on how it floats and bobs, you may end of up with vastly different bath art over a series of baths, with this product.  Madame President is also a bath bomb that delivers the coveted purple bath water that seems to be a rare accomplishment with Lush products.  After using this, you will have a glitter filled and deep purple bath water.

 For the price, the quality of the bath art and the nice smell, this bath bomb is a great value and a stand-out addition in the 2018 Mother's Day Range.  Plus, it comes with Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz's full recommendation.
