Here is the lovely king of bath bombs, Lord of Misrule!
This bath bomb was first made in 2015 for the Winter range and it (and its' matching shower cream brother) swept the Lush world by storm. The general opinion among Lushies is that this bath bomb is a star and that it ranks well within the royalty of Lush's best products.
The scent is a very unique one. It features notes of patchouli, black pepper and vanilla that when blended create something wholly wonderful. However, Lady Bubble did think that this smell combination could be unusual for some people. It is a unfamiliar scent that may take you by surprise. Almost like a "vanilla aftershave," it has spicy, earthy and creamy-sweet notes that all take turns as they party their way through your sinuses. This is a smell that we agree with many fans on as one of the best of the best!
Just imagine yourself experiencing an adventure of smells that seem to mingle together and stand apart simultaneously. They will confuse your perception and jump away, changing as soon as you focus on one element. It is truly a master perfumer's composition contained in a bath bomb.
This product also shares its' scent with several other Lush products. Including, Lord of Misrule Shower Cream, The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub and Monsters and Aliens FUN.
The bath bomb is a forest green color with some light spots and the shape of a crown around the middle. On the inside it has a core of deep magenta that when used in a bath will make a lovely dark wine red. It's bath art potential is also very high. The contrast of the colors is very pretty and the patterns people have gotten in their baths are just amazing!
The name for this bath bomb comes from the name of a figure in traditional western European Christmas celebrations. The Lord of Misrule or the Abbot of Unreason is appointed as a mock king during Christmas feasts.
This is not always something that happens, but this bath bomb is one that both Lady Bubble and Lord Fizz agree on as being a truly fantastic product. It is by no means "masculine" or overpowering. It is calming and mysterious while also containing spice and excitement. It makes beautiful bath art and works as good as any bath bomb can. We recommend this product as strongly as we can!
So, while you enjoy your holidays let this curiously spicy foamer roil and rule your bath time with a little bit of flair from parties long past!
